Training & Coaching

Training & coaching is about building confident teams who understand why behaviour happens and what they can do differently tomorrow. Sessions are grounded in applied behaviour analysis and positive behaviour support, but translated into everyday language so that staff, families, and leaders can use the ideas in real settings.

We offer workshops, small group sessions, and one–to–one coaching that connect theory with practice… using real examples from participants’ work rather than generic case studies. The emphasis is always on skills that can be observed, practised, and refined over time.

Training and coaching in behaviour support

Training topics

Content is tailored for each audience… from direct support staff and educators to clinical teams and leadership.
  • Foundations of behaviour analysis and positive behaviour support
  • Understanding functions of behaviour and early warning signs
  • Designing proactive environments and supportive routines
  • Teaching replacement skills and communication alternatives
  • Responding safely during crises while protecting dignity
  • Using data in simple, meaningful ways for decision making
  • Embedding behaviour support within organisational culture and policy

Coaching and follow-up

Training works best when people have space to practise… ask questions… and come back to refine their approach. Coaching provides that bridge between the training room and day–to–day work.

  • On-site or virtual coaching focused on real situations and teams
  • Observation and feedback using agreed frameworks
  • Support for supervisors and practice leaders to model new approaches
  • Joint problem solving around challenging incidents or patterns
  • Action plans that identify next steps, timelines, and responsibilities
  • Options for short, focused check-ins or longer term coaching packages

Sessions can be designed for a single service, a mixed group of organisations, or specific professional roles. We regularly work with direct support staff, teachers, clinicians, service leaders, and family groups, adapting language and examples to match the audience.
